My dd turns 11 beg of Jan, we have bought her a new phone for her birthday. But I am struggling for a main Christmas present for her. So far I have got her DVDs, books, dressing gown and some crafty/arty stuff. She has a I pod touch we bought her last year that never leaves her side! She doesn't want an I pad or tablet, any ideas??

My dd is 12 and loves her roller blades and her bike.

Speaker thingies to play music from Ipad on? can you even do that? Confused Sorry I'm a technological dinosaur but I seem to be vaguely aware that such things exist.

she doesn't want a kindle, she did mention a desk trouble is there`s not much space in her room - may be we could move stuff round - off to get a tape measure thanks

Sorry Ipod...argh!! Is she into craft and making things? Just bought my older dd a very nice sewing machine for her birthday as she's doing gcse textiles.

she loves her I pod, and is always making little videos on it, cant see her with a sewing machine - don't know whats worse kids who want everything or kids who don't want anything, Her DB 14 is getting a lap top so I would like to get her a main present. My mothers words still ring in my head - you don't bother same with the 2nd child - I was the 2nd and that was so true in my case that I try and treat mine the same

Concert/event tickets?

BananaNotPeelingWell · 27/11/2013 10:30

I know what you mean about the ones that don't want anything being difficult. My dd1(15) is the same. She hardly asks for anything ever which is a combination of very endearing and maddeningly difficultConfused. She had her iPod some years ago. Has used it every day since, but has looked after it. I suggested she might like a newer model now, but she looked aghast at this. 'But I like this one..' Grin My other two are a little easier. They do have ideas but like surprises which is becoming ever more difficult to achieve. I do think girls reach an age where they just love lots of bits and bobs. Dd2 would def love tickets to a concert though but we haven't really explored that type of present yet.
