I have succumbed to the Elf on a shelf. What mischief do yours get up to?

I have finally taken the plunge and got an elf.
What tricks do your Elves do?

Ooh ooh we're doing it this year too but the elf is coming from America and probably won't be here until the 10th or so. Do you think it's ok if we just do a fortnight of elf antics?

Our elf arrives this sunday 1st dec. Not sure how he will arrive, I might ask neighbour to ring bell and leave box complete with elf on top ifdhletsmeashealreadythinksI'mmad, or just leave it in porch overnight when dcs come downstairs in the morning.
Elf will be on top of box which will include-
-advent calendar
-activity books
-christmas dvds
-christmas pyjamas for the whole family
-mini christmas trees (bought in paper chase sale last january)

i am abnormally excited about this year, elf's mischief will include
-elf on toy potty beside my 2.5 ds's potty
-ds noses painted red & elf found with paint brush and pot
-elf sitting on cushions at steering wheel in my car having crashed the car into plant pot outside
-elf putting obscure items in ds lunchbox
-fishing in goldfish bowl
-tea party with teddies

Want to do one this year too but not sure I will have time. Im not organised for christmas this year at all as we have the house move to get through first too. Im currently surrounded by boxes!

At least with the unpacking and new house it will give elf lots of new hiding places!

Do you take photos as proof that the elf done these things or just that it's hinted at eg elf found with paintbrush and paint while kids have painted noses?

My ds1 is 6 and he will love this, plus it will be a great tradition now we have our 4 week old as well, ds1 will really buy into it right now and as he gets older he can be involved in the elf's pranks for ds2!

I bought an elf tree decoration from Asda for £2. She's dressed in red so I've decorated her with green glitter glue. I'm really excited - it's the 1st year I've done it

It comes with the elf and the book. You don't really need the book you could just buy your own elf

Loads of balloons in playroom
rude messages on bathroom mirror
barbie's clothes on a washing line
3 day one - some coloured pumpkin seeds partially planted in pot on day 1. Day 2 seeds gone but little shoots of green tinsel in their place. Day 3 - lollipops planted with the shoots

my masterpiece - elf does strictly! Elf dancing with cinderella, blonde barbie for Tess in opening pose with Bruce aka Ken with head dipped in flour! 4 soft toys with paddles sat at table. Dd got it straight away.
