Christmas presents for 18 team members. Help!

I have a team of 18 at work - they've worked really hard and I'm very fond of them. I'd like to get them something for Christmas from me - they get a bonus but it is taxed and in their wages so not very festive.

Any thoughts? Ideally I'd like to get something similar for each - no time or inspiration for individual gifts. Or something for the office, maybe, but that's a bit dull. A friend suggested mugs with their initials on which I quite like. Based on recent incidents, I did wonder about a grammar book (!) but I know that would be a bit mean.

Budget is around £10/head. Men and women, all 20-40. Fairly smart, mostly quite sporty.

Bottle of fizz each

HindsightisaMarvellousThing · 26/11/2013 22:16

Bottle (s) of wine/prosecco each and a scratch card.

Wine... Can I work with you.

PepeLePew · 26/11/2013 22:25

I'm really nice, comemulledwhinewithmoi - you'd be welcome as long as you don't commit crimes against grammar Grin.

Ok, good consensus building in favour of booze plus I like the scratchcard idea - maybe a little stocking each? Scratchcard, pen, tube of love hearts, etc.

Any other suggestions?

Wine.

A Panettone in a nice box.

comemulledwinewithmoi · 26/11/2013 22:29

Oh dear, I think I may, on occasion commit such crimes. Your idea sounds lovley.

SpeedyMackechnie · 26/11/2013 22:30

A mighty mug. Mug you can't knock over. Got one for my Secret Santa!

comemulledwinewithmoi · 26/11/2013 22:30

How about mini box of chocolates too?

Ragwort · 26/11/2013 22:30

Sparkling Wine definitely, I remember having to buy the department wine on behalf of my boss each year - I found some deal where you got a bottle free for every 6 you bought - as I had to put it on my credit card before being reimbursed I felt justified in keeping the 'free' bottles Grin.

Another time I had to buy over 200 boxes of chocolates which involved asking for 'sample' boxes to be sent for tasting Grin Grin Grin.

Those were the days now a SAHM !!

Wine (+nice chocolates for any non-drinkers?) That is my usual default gift for my team. This year I'm going for handmade soap though, as my finances dictate I have to spend a bit less. I'm wrapping it nicely in the (perhaps forlorn) hope it won't look too stingy.
My own team leader pays for our Christmas meal each year, but that costs him a bit more per head than you are thinking of.

MrsCakesPremonition · 26/11/2013 22:32

Some of these mugs, tea and grammar.

PepeLePew · 26/11/2013 22:39

MrsCakes those mugs are absolutely fantastic!! I want some for my own Christmas present. That might be the answer...

Hotel chocolate do a lovely range of mini boxes of very nice chocolates.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 26/11/2013 22:43

I have a similar sizable team. Buying prosecco / cava and then putting on a buffet before people start being off on leave.
