Any ideas for a small surprise present for a nearly 7 and nearly 4yo?

They've both asked for a dolly and pram which we've bought as theirs are knackered. & both are waffling away about roller skates so might get those if I can work out what size to get the oldest who's in-between sizes atm & ideally needs to try on Confused. My other idea was a bean bag each as they scrap over the one we have atm.

Any other ideas for a surprise gift?

(I'm in the process of replacing craft bits & giving those plus a few bits of clothes they each need alongside the dolls and prams)

How about a music box / jewellry box with a ballerina spinning round in it? bit random but I've never yet met a little girl who didn't like them.

Dvd is a good idea, Poundland had loads of Christmassy ones in today. could get a couple at that price

Pillowpets. My nearly 7 DD loves hers - and she appears to not be alone. There was a thread on here a few weeks ago and everyone was saying how much they love them. This year she wants a light up pillow pet and some stompeez

Dp's auntie got them both pillow pets for their last birthdays, they are much loved & go to bed with them every night Grin

Have just thought of a school set or something like that so will have a mooch on t'internet later on to see what I can find

My DS has just turned 7 and I'm getting him a set of juggling bean bags and also a yo-yo for Xmas.

cd player and audio books sound good! Will have a look and see what I can find (I yawn constantly reading out loud so would save me from that Confused Grin )

Audio books are also great for in the car

AbiRoad · 27/11/2013 09:36

stompeez?

From your description it sounds like you are getting them pretty much the same despite the age difference. I think your older DD would probably appreciate at least one thing that was different and a it more grown up, eg cd player for her and something "younger" for DD2?

lucysmam · 27/11/2013 11:51

Probably Abi. They're getting pretty much the same because what we are getting is replacing broken and worn out toys that have had a good five or so years of use between them.

I'll start hunting for a couple of individual presents. Dd1 would enjoy something like a school set or sweet shop I think...2 I don't know...she just does what her big sister does a lot of the time Confused Maybe a decent doctor kit though...she does seem to spend a lot of time fixing her dollies up Grin
