Ok - I have sorted out the presents for everyone else (and wrapped them this evening) BUT can't think of much that I need or want ... other than..

An advanced icing biscuit class - I have mastered the basics but need a little more inspiration ... but having difficulty finding out where there are any classes in the Kent area...

A new digital camera - need to take good photos for my website and the stuff that I sell on E-Bay -my existing camera is OK and working but if someone wants to buy me a better one what should I chose...

A make-up lesson that acknowledges the wrinkles and crows feet especially around the eyes - just something to make the best of a face that it heading south BIG TIME ... I would love a really good make-up artist to be let loose on my face and see what that could do ?? Any suggestions ??

Can't think of anything else that I need or want... and if I can't think of anything before Christmas I have been warned that I won't be getting anything.... quick quick quick quick...

You mention wrinkles and heading south big time... botox/filler would be infinitely better than make up at sorting that! You could ask for vouchers?

If you don't like the idea of needles, you could try micro dermabrasion, or a course of face peels - both good for fine lines.

a facial exercises book?

fuzzpig · 25/11/2013 23:41

This year I've finally asked for a framed print of one of my favourite paintings. It basically doesn't take up any space (unless you count on the wall :o) but it will make me very very happy to see it every day.

..Botox -unfortunately is step too far for me - I would rather grow old gracefully and just hope that that the wrinkles don't droop too far that I need to scoop them up...

A "facial exercise book" - I need to Google this - if this is anything like a join the dot-to-dot book - I have already have one of these languishing in my bookcase -waiting for the right time to sell it on E-Bay.

SHIT SCARY STUFFF..

I have just GOOGLED " Facial Exercises Book" - if I stretched my face like that it wouldn't spring back until the New Year....

Perhaps I should just ask for a Onesie ....

Ive never understood the facial exercises either. Surely you should try to stretch your face as LITTLE as possible to avoid wrinkles??

What about a hot air balloon ride? Or one of those gift experiences?

BTW, a face peel and microdermabrasion reduce wrinkles but are non invasive, so a bit like a very expensive facial.

BillyBanter · 26/11/2013 00:22

Yy to onesie.

Go on Ebay and search for kigurumi.

BillyBanter · 26/11/2013 00:24

Facial exercises are to tone the muscles under your skin.

Graze8 · 26/11/2013 00:32

Sorry to interrupt. BillyBanter - I just wondered if you have tried the facial exercises and do they work?

elskovs · 26/11/2013 00:32

No onsie!!

Anyone old enough to have wrinkles mustn't wear a onsie!

BillyBanter · 26/11/2013 00:34

No. They were talking about them on another thread.

BillyBanter · 26/11/2013 00:34

I think they work if you actually do them, same as most exercises.

lookoveryourshouldernow · 26/11/2013 00:50

..done the hot air balloon ride over Brisbane - it was fantastic - but have been there done that - but thank you for the suggestion.. and I would never do it again !!!

..still hoping that I can find a sympathetic person that could perhaps help me to update my look - and give me some tips ....

not quite biscuits but these look yummy and you could gain some transferable skills or ask them if they could run some biscuit courses.
