DS has one main present less than his sisters. They both have 3 and he's only got 2. They are at an age it's noticeable as well.

What can I get him that preferably doesn't cost more than £20 but looks like a substantial present?

He likes superheroes, drawing, making things out of junk etc.

I have just bought DS a batcave- half price on Amazon and paid £20. It is huge!

Do you have an ikea nearby? Maybe a easel and some chalks if he likes drawing?

one of the colour in playhouses?

batcave - was on offer recently

big box of crafty bits (can pick up bits cheap from £1 shops etc)

Spacehopper :) Blow it up beforehand, what a great size. Only snag is if you have to buy a pump as well, maybe someone else would have one you could borrow?

Kyrptonite · 25/11/2013 23:26

I'll have a look at some of the suggestions. Thank you.
The new batcave looks great. We have the stupidly large one from last year so I can't justify getting it!

John Lewis do a huge box of their own type of Lego/ duplo for £20

I would have bought it myself but had paid nearly double that for the Lego branded one!

You can buy a cardboard colour it yourself rocket which is big enough to be a den it is quite amazing. A huge box and hours of fun colouring and then playing in it. I'll look for a link brb

thegreylady · 26/11/2013 10:32

Cant do link but paper pod cardboard rocket is £28 and there is also a space pod further down the same page on Amazon which is about £10.50. Certainly my grandsons loved theirs when they were 4 and 6.

thegreylady · 26/11/2013 10:33

Scrap the space pod idea you only get the kit without the card. The rocket is the real deal.

Have a look into somewhere like The Works, Argos or Hobbycraft and see if they have any drawing/craft sets.
