Yet another Secret Santa thread - geeky card game?

So I managed to pick the person I barely know at work. Sigh. He's very shy, and I know he does like geeky games (he organised a zombie dice thing a while ago!). He's married with no kids so a game that can be played by two people would be best I think.

I'd like something a little less mainstream but even card games seem ££££ these days and budget is a fiver

..there is a set of Top Trumps Cards called HORROR - which might fit the bill ... a few sets on E-Bay seem to have a starting price that seems reasonable ..

Fluxx is a great game for geeks and they do a Zombie version.

I also like Killer bunnies and B-movie.
