I'm sooooo annoyed with myself :-(

I'm on a really strict budget and thought I was doing really well until....I've bought 5 x wrong size stockings (making up ones for mum, stepdad, brother, dad and stepmum), I've bought gluten containing chocolate for coeliac dad and "I don't want anything" dh has just produced a fecking list!!!

I have bought dh some surprises so I can share out his list, (my mum, his mum etc)

I'm just so annoyed with myself, so I now have 5 stockings that are too small and have to replace with 5 bigger ones!

Why not just stick with the stockings you've got? I'm sure they'll still be fun with a few nice bits in. There's no point going over budget just for that, so unless you can easily return for a refund, I'd just leave it.

And you really can't be annoyed at yourself for DH suddenly giving you a list!

agree with fuzzpig im sure they will be fine dont replace them and i parot the you really can't be annoyed at yourself for hubby suddenly giving you a list :)

oh dear, sounds like you will have to eat the chocolate.

give hubby the chocs, buy new chocs for relatives, stick with original stockings and tell hubby too late you have already bought his gift ;)

I accept I was being a grump when I started this thread :-)

Dh now has dads chocolates, will get dad something else but really can't use the stockings, they are way too small (don't know what I was thinking when I bought them) but have found more in poundland, just hoping my local one has some.

I was just a bit pissed off with dh that after weeks of "I don't want anything, don't buy me anything, there's nothing I need/want etc", there's now enough for a list! But I also accept I was wrong here too

I will use the 'old' stockings for ds2s preschool staff as conveniently there are 5 of them too! Will fill with mini wine bottles, chocolates and a nail varnish.
