anyone found a lovely scarf that my MIL and my friends would all love?

A lightweight, long scarf. Not knitted.
I love all the animal/bird/butterfly ones, but I'm trying to find something different. And that all generations would appreciate.
Any ideas?

Mistral had some gorgeous ones in the sale.. not sure iffthey are still on there. I brought my mum one for Christmas reduced from 20 to under a tenner.

I've got it in burgundy (more of a brick red) and have the teal on order. Really pleased with the size and quality for the bargain price. It has a slightly gauzy feel to it which means it sits well when you tie it. If the mustard was still in stock, I'd get that one too! I usually get my scarves from Gap, Boden etc.. so v pleased to have come across this via a Mumsnet recommendation on another board.

I have that one in teal, it's gorgeous. I am going to get it for my friends for xmas. Don't know whether to get a mix of colours or all the same.

I got sent an email by mr and mrs smith about their collaboration with Lily and Lionel - the scarves look like normal abstract print ones but have an amazing scenery panoramic on them when you open them out, they are £££ though

TK Maxx have lovely Missoni ones in at the moment.

I cut the label off my ebay scarf but pretty sure it's polyester...but for that price...They feel fine though and feel soft against my neck. Off to order the mustard too!

Thanks Frankie. If polyester I'll give it a miss. I bought some beautiful scarves last year that were a polyester mix, and this year happened to buy a pure cotton one which was much nicer to wear. I won't be going back.
