hatching dinosaur egg for stocking filler

I'm looking for one of those dinosaur eggs that you place in water & they hatch. Thought it would make a good stocking filler for DS. Amazon do them for £3-£4 but wondered if anyone knew of any shops where I'd get one cheaper?

I saw something similar in Wilkinson's last week. I don't think they were for putting in water though - there was a little chisel to chip the "egg" away.

Haven't seen cheap versions of the water version, but Poundland usually have the sort where you chip off the plaster. Our DGCs love these, but one hell of a mess is created. The hammer/chisel provided is useless, be prepared to offer your DH's real one.

The Range is good for these sort of toys .

I bought my DS a snake that went in water years ago , same idea as the dinosaur egg.
Can't remember where I got it.

the range usually has these in stock - they work really well too - we had one and it got HUGE had to keep moving it into bigger pots lol!

have a feeling they are £2.99 but they might be £3.99 - we found it worth the pennies :) kids had a great time watching it grow (and then shrink)

Thanks all. Found one today in Boyes for £2.99!
