I'm going to get 2 or 3 games that I can play with my two children, we have things like pop up pirate and hungry hippos, I need some more ideas of what to get and what people have got that have gone down well with their kids.

Any suggestions? Tia.

Check out orchard toys. Really good quality and a wide range. We have loads of them, particularly like scaredy cat and monster bingo. Thinking of getting ten green bottles this year :)

From Orchard Toys - What a Performance and Bus Stop were popular in that age. Mine also enjoyed Cars Monopoly (very much) and Junior Monopoly. Bingo might also be good and Snakes and Ladders/Ludo.

My two are a similar age and they love guess who, connect 4, snakes and ladders, and lots of the orchard toys games, like red dog blue dog.

For christmas I am getting them twister Grin

My girls are 3 and 5. The Orchards games are popular here, especially Bus stop, Tummy ache and Shopping list. DD1 is getting the telling the time game for xmas.

Other games they enjoy are Jenga, Twister and Snakes and ladders.

I spent a lovely afternoon recently playing Loopin' Louie with my 4 and 7 year olds. We all had a great time, including the adults.

My 2 love Shopping List from Orchard Toys.

DS (5) likes the shopping game, the bus stop game and guess who. This year he's getting pop to the shops and frustration.

Lego Shave a Sheep game goes down well with our DC, yy to Orchard Toys too.

Bakingtins · 22/11/2013 19:04

I second Lego Shave the Sheep but think it's been discontinued.
Qwirkle.

Ds likes ludo, frustration, draughts, bingo, card games (happy families is a fav). We also have lots of weird and wonderful games we get in charity shops. For christmas he's getting word bingo, scrabble and kerplunk.
If I'm honest I actually enjoy these games and had a lot of these myself as a child. I do tend to introduce games I know I'll enjoy playing.

Thanks everyone, I was thinking of Guess Who, I love that too. Will have a look at the orchard toys, we already have the shopping list game which they love!
