£5 budget and I barely know him.

All I know is he likes Liverpool football club.

Any suggestions?

Beano annual, always a winner!

Theimpossiblegirl · 21/11/2013 19:22

On the same theme- Liverpool Annual. :)

PennySillin · 21/11/2013 19:24

Or consumables? usually go down well!

ChippyMinton · 21/11/2013 19:24

Get down to Sports Direct for a selection of branded footie stuff.

MikeLitoris · 21/11/2013 19:39

I normally go for the naffest gift I can find but I don't know what his sense of humour is like.

No doubt I will bottle it and get him wine or something else boring.

Do not buy anything of a questionable nature as these things always come out. At my work place, the office idiot bought a pack of karma sutra cards for one of the managers and since then promotion has passed her by. The only way the idiot will be promoted is if she leaves the company because everybody knows that she bought the cards.

bellablot · 21/11/2013 19:59

How 'big' of a boss is he? MD? Senior Manager? Calendar for the office wall/desk?

pootlebug · 21/11/2013 20:03

Agree with Liverpool-football-something ideas. Not wine....if he is a big boss who earns lots will likely spend more than fiver a bottle. You know he likes Liverpool, it looks like you've thought about it - can't go wrong.

LongStripedScarfWearer · 21/11/2013 20:05

A Liverpool annual sounds perfect!

My DH is a bit of a big boss and vair serious at work, but the complete opposite at home. He's a football fan and would be quite happy to get a football annual toilet reading but try to bleach that from your brain.

Or a Liverpool Mr Potato Head if you can find it cheaper.

I'm a Liverpool fan and have just read Brian Reade's book 44 Years with The Same Bird, £5.39 on Amazon at the moment. Might be worth looking at?

MikeLitoris · 21/11/2013 20:59

He is 2nd biggest boss for our site. Seems like a nice man, has a laugh and joke with us but the only real conversations I've had with him have been about me raising a grievance about something.

I'm loving the Mr Potato head. I dont mind spending a bit more, most people do.

Thanks all.

I usually get a little bottle of wine and a cheese, plus nice crackers and maybe chutney for men.

pigleychez · 21/11/2013 22:49

Liverpool Potato head cheaper!
