Advice - I think I have overcooked my Xmas pudding

I think it's overcooked. It looks overcooked.
It's a 4pint pudding (whole of delia recipe) and I cooked it in my slow cooker for 7 hours on high, then turned it down to med and left for another 4 hours. It looked fine after that, but now it has cooled it looks cooked.
The edges have started to shrink away and it just looks cooked. Looking at the bowl from the outside (plastic) the bottom looks ok, then 1/2 way up it changes colour where I am assuming it has shrunk back.
It's going to be overcooked when I reheat on Xmas day & be chewy isn't it?
Any advice? I am tempted to start again!

Dowse it in brandy to make it softer.

My mother regularly cuts the burnt bits off hers, before microwaving the rest. It's always lovely (but maybe I have low expectations)

Can you prick it all over & feed it with brandy/ orange juice as previously suggested. Also carve off the burnt bits and see how you go.
