Present ideas for 4 month old DD

DD will be nearlly 4 months at christmas, we've bought a couple of things for her but going to take advantage of the fact we don't have to buy her much this christmas!
But I need ideas of what to ask for when relatives and friends ask what she needs, so she doesn't end up with a million clothes and useless but pretty things like shoes, slippers and coats she can't get her arms in

Any toys from your experience are worth getting? Her birthday isn't until September so is it worth getting things for when she's around 6 months?

Jumperoo for when she is 6 months old...

Jumperoos are suitable from 4 months and they are money well spent!

4 months depending on the child, how well they can support themselves and so on... we used it from 5ish months... but definitely recommended...

Ooo well I think I'll ask MIL for a jumparoo then!
DD already wants to be held up and on her feet so she can have a nosey so it's ideal.
I appreciate clothes, but when she was born we got all sorts, stuff that wasn't our my taste and just ended up being left in a bag, so I don't want to repeat that!

Plate, cup & spoon/fork set ready for weaning.
Bath toys
Books (Thats not my dragon/fairy/puppy etc are good ones)
Stacking cups
Shape sorter cookie jar - my DS is 2 and still uses it
If someone really wants to get clothes suggest pj's or sleepsuits or vests which are not so bad if they are not quite your taste.
