Sending presents to children in Australia

What is the cheapest way of sending presents to Australia in time for Christmas please? Or does anyone have any website recommendations which do not charge the earth in postage? They are nearly 3 year old and 4 1/2 year old boys.

I just tried to buy a game and two small lego sets through Amazon (with amazon as a seller), and the postage more than doubled the cost of the items, brining it all in at £65!

I know, I know - I should have thought of this in August and sent them by surface mail ...

Why not buy from www.amazon.com.au/?

Sorry, just seen how little they have :(

I have the same problem. In the past I've used ebay as some sellers in China or Hong Kong will send to Australia for the same as here.

I have friends in Australia and usually send books through an Aussie website. Never done Lego, but there must be Australia-based online toy shops you can use? Just google lego Australia?

I use latestbuy.com.au. used them for the first time last week items delivered in a couple of days. Much cheaper than trying to post from a UK company also they will show prices in pounds (which I find useful).

Last yeararks did free shipping to Oz for a few weeks. DSIL says stuff was beautifully wrspped and srrived in plenty of time.

Toys r us are in aus. We send a small gift and then order off the Aussie site and rope in sil to wrap them for us.

Or book depository? They do free postage worldwide.
But my friends send from amazon UK ...just a DVD or something, it will get there in time.
(We're in nz)

M&S still do free postage this year. I used them for my DNs age 3 and 5. They have books, toys and a few suitable clothes for hotter weather.
