I love Christmas morning when the children come into bed to open their stockings. Later on in the day and enjoy present giving but it's never as special as stockings. I enjoy the meal and love Christmas pudding with brandy butter.
I always feel it's the one holiday when there is no pressure to do anything! Children don't expect to go swimming or any other activities, we don't need to get dressed early in the morning. I love going out for family walks and then home to a slice of Christmas cake. Being able to watch old films in the afternoon and not feel guilty that I should be doing something!
I love all the food nibbles you only eat at Christmas.

I love advent - the carol services and lights, getting the house all sparkling and decorated, preparing the food. I love watching he DC open stockings and going for a walk on Christmas day.

I like the build up to Xmas, leafing through the food porn mags, creating memories for my children. Today, the staff in Superdrug were wearing tinsel and Santa hats - I love the spirit of Christmas.

I don't get stressed about Christmas, but I think that's because I try and be as organised as possible.

I love the fact that as we head into dark miserable nights, horrid weather and so on, there is a LIGHT at the end of the tunnel, christmas.

Love the decs, the lights the effort people make.....hopefully going to enjoy stockings this year....but have no idea where to leave it, down stairs on on bed? or by bed?

Just love IT>

Everything about the children and how excited they get, their stockings,
Christmas days out etc.

For myself, the time off work with my husband (extremely rare!), the wine/Baileys and the parties.

Nothing!

I love decorating the tree with DD, whilst DS and DH are out at football. We put some Christmas tunes on and eat mince pies.

Love putting the presents under the tree.

I love making mince pies and the rapturous reception they get.

I love Christmas Eve, NORAD tracking, making reindeer food, putting out landing lights, bath bomb baths.

I love their faces as they open their stockings in our bed.

Love getting merry on Prosecco whilst I make lunch, and afterwards watching DC share out presents from under the tree.

This year it is just the 4 of us (DH, me, 2 DSs).

I'm buying the food ready-made from M&S, and we shall spend the day all being couch potatoes enjoying Xmas telly Grin

Spending time with all our family! Smile

I love that there is no work/school routine so we can be a family all together for a week. It hasn't always been like that for our family, DH was in the military and worked all bar one Christmas for 7 years till he left, so it's even more special that he is now in the country with us and not having to work a 24 hour shift (which he did for our ds first two Christmas'-not through choice). Just being at home, playing games, watching films snuggled under a blanket, cooking, eating anything really.

I love Christmas eve, tracking santa, decorating gingerbread men, festive movies, Dh preparing veg for the big dinner.
Once the Dc are in the bath, the 'elves' leave a gift bag on the doorstep containing new pj's and a dvd.
I love sneaking all the presents downstairs and putting them under the tree, the excited Dc in the morning (I'm usually awake first!)
Drinking bucks fizz with Dh while we cook dinner, Dc playing a game together (before the arguments start!)
Seeing the family throughout the day, just chilling out eating chocs and drinking wine! Grin

Oh I also love decorating the house and having a candlelit Christmas Eve with husband once children are in bed.
The one thing detest s wrapping presents. I'm useless at it!!
