I'm really struggling to buy for DS (13) and DS (10) - esp compared to DDs!

That's it really. I would be hugely grateful for ideas as I need to aim for some parity with DDs (15 and 7) who are super easy to buy for! Main presents rather than stoking stuffers which I'm doing ok on.

13 yo DS enjoys - reading, cricket, football, computer stuff, making films, his go pro, his bike, family guy, gadgets and black humour.

10 yo DS won't read a novel if you put a gun to his head but likes fact books, nerf guns, football, Lego, minecraft, making and doing things outside. We call him a budding engineer and he is high energy high testosterone.

I have got 13yo some new mounts for his go pro, FIFA 14 for Xbox, a multi- bike tool thingie ummm that's about it. I have got 10yo a mine craft light, a den kit, and ummm that's it. He has so much Lego and so many nerf guns I haven't got him any more but I could if desperate I guess...

Please please mumsnet vipers- inspire me? I would be incredibly grateful...

70 - thanks so much. He has an iPad from school (sigh- his year is a pilot project, while other story) so no to Hudl. Driving lessons brilliant but he had that for his birthday in Oct. Gaming chair a good idea - anyone know where I can get one which isn't too hideous?!

For their birthdays I got them jointly a table football table which has been a huge success with the whole family. That was my last flash of brilliance.

Glad I saw this thread, I'm really struggling for DS1 who is 10. He'd like a phone but I think 10 is too young (plus he already has a tablet and we row about how much time he spends on it so I'm not keen on feeding the technology addiction.) Why do they have to grow up so fast? He's already outgrown his lego apart from the odd occasion...

Im currently on amazon looking for inspiration for my ds, 13. I have loads for dds and virtually nothing for ds. My ds is quite geeky, hates sport and doesn't read much.

Hi Op, my Ds is 13 and so far he will be having, Canon bridge camera, tripod & accessories. Lego 16+ campervan, 2 superdry hoodies, funky usb stick, cup / pingpong ball game from home bargains, aftershave & smellies, new trainers & choc goodies.

My DS turned 10 last month. Main present was a RipStik which turned out to be a massive success. Spent most of half term mastering it.

For Christmasmas, he's requested the just released Lego Marvel Superheros game plus the Minecraft Redstone Book and yet more generic lego - we'll in our 6th year of lego (sigh).

Last year my DS15 had a "Junior Supercar Driving experience" at www.racing-school.co.uk - he chose the lamborghini experience.

This year he is getting The Wrong Mans dvd (he likes the black humour and also that one of the actors is from Horrible Histories!)...maybe too old for a 13 y old though??

Am finding it difficult to top the driving voucher this year tbh...

Sorry, I'm a bit stumped for the 13 year old, except I think you can get clay/plasticine animation sets in the line of Wallace and Gromit/Morph. Maybe he'd like that? Or would either of them like a good board game?

Kayaks.

We got our lads into kayaking last Christmas and seriously it has been the best thing ever! They were out on boxing day and at least weekly ever since.

It is a bit of effort to strap them onto the car but really worth it for the fresh air and the improved fitness! (and the dog goes too!)

This year they are having remote controlled planes, quite big ones, not babyish!

14 yr old Ds so hard! Dd is 12 and has loads. So far he has a superdry hoodie, and some books! Will get some chocolate and some Microsoft points, DH says he wants an Xbox game so he'll get that. They open presents in turn so they need roughly the same number to open!
