Allergy friendly Christmas cake ( mainly egg replacement issues)

Does anyone have any good egg free / vegan Christmas cake recipes?
I was planning to do Delia's Christmas cake again, which I normally do gluten free with success, but this year for the first time we are gluten, wheat, soy, dairy and egg free
Was planning to use Pure sunflower spread and Doves Farm gluten free flour, which normally work fine.
I have even weighed out the fruit etc to soak in brandy but I suddenly thought it might not work with the egg replacers.

It requires 5 eggs so I was going to try three Orgran No-Egg 'eggs' and two flax seed 'eggs'.

Do you think I need to add extra raising agents?

Argh, am panicking and don't want to make an expensive mistake.

I made a wheat, gluten, soy, dairy & egg free carrot cake the other day. I used organ egg replacer. It was fine. Looked a little different to the one I made with eggs, but it tasted nice - according to the friend I made it for!

I would have thought you'd be ok. Christmas cake doesn't really rise that much does it?

I'd add a mashed banana for extra binding, but wouldn't worry about raising agents

I'm about to try this for Christmas cake as DSs can't eat egg but like the look of fruit cake. I would have thought you could use gluten free flour and so forth and this doesn't have egg anyway so no need to replace 5 of them.

I don't like egg replacer - always tastes a bit metallic

Sorry haven't worked out links on iPad

I have had good results with the Pig In The Kitchen gingerbread which uses a mixture of the No-Egg and flax seeds, which is why I suggested it.

So maybe I'll try just replacing with a flax seed mixture and leave any extra raising agent- as mentioned I suppose it doesn't really rise.
