I need a small thermos flask that will keep coffee hot for at least 6 hours

My DH gets up for work at 3.40 in the morning. He can't put the kettle on to make a brew before he leaves. Too noisy.
He wants to make his coffee before bed at about 10pm and leave it by the door.

I need a small thermos that will keep the coffee hot for at least 5 hours.

Any recommendations that I can get him for Christmas.

My OH has a few stainless steel flasks - the best one he ever had was from Costco many years ago and he has never found any of them quite as good since and hasn't been able to find another the same. However apart from one Tesco one which he threw away, he makes his coffee at 7am and can still pour himself a cup to drink when he gets home at 5ish so most seem to be pretty good. He hasn't tried the Sigg one, but it comes in the top 10 in this review:

I would stress that it doesn't seem as if they actually tested which ones kept drinks the hottest

As long as you warm it first, a decent steel flask will keep water warm for 24 hrs! If you don't warm it first, then no flask will keep water warm for very long. We are an outdoorsy family for work and play. Aladdin flasks are good. Thermos not bad.

Can he not boil water in a saucepan? If he puts it on low before getting in the shower, the water should be ready by the time he gets dressed so he can have a fresh brew before work.

Sorry I didnt mean to sound rude re boiling water in a pan. That't what I do when I am awake in the middle of the night so I dont wake everyone. I just went into practical mode.

My bodum thermos cup keeps my coffee scorching hot all day until I manage to drink it at the end of the day when my class leave

My husband needed a new flask recently and got one from Morrisons but it doesnt keep anything hot that long, didnt think that was possible.

I have this one and if I put my soup in it at 7am, it is still too hot to eat at 1pm. As someone else said, I do pre warm the flask first. Just a bit of boiling water in it for 5 mins, tip it out then put the soup in. Makes a big difference.

Ah, quite an old thread

I love the Billy flasks personally. Mine stays hot or cold for 10+ hours. Keeps my coffee lovely and hot throughout my outdoor shift (8+ hours) Although the Billy flasks usually stay cold for even longer. And loads of celebrities love them.

I have the Thermos Ultimate Series Flask, it lasts me all day and keeps very hot! The official rating from thermos says it keeps things hot for 24 hours so more than enough for you! :)
