Does anyone else have a nanny or babysitter? And if so what are you getting them for xmas? I would like to get a gift. But i am wondering if she'd really prefer money? Like a xmas bonus?

I have a childminder and I give her a hamper of treats which she appreciates as she is on her own with a child of her own.

I would do both - a small hamper of treats and a cash bonus. Make sure the treats are nice and heartfelt - maybe themed or at least carefully selected, eg related to things she has talked about or does. The idea is to make the cash bonus seem more thoughtful.

I'm a nanny and have had

Cash gifts
Vouchers
Jewelry (chosen by kids)
Bits like dvds, perfume and umbrellas (i lose them!)

Tbh anything is appreciated as it means I'm appreciated iygwim...but the vouchers are only good if you know them well enough to know what they'd like...cash is always welcome!

Jewelry again depends on the person...I never tend to wear it for work as there's always a child pulling on it! So as much as I love it (and I do!) I never wear it

Dvds and perfume where v thoughtful as I'd randomly mentioned various of both that I wanted and they remebered...so as much as cash is thoughtful the fact that they'd listened and remembered was lovdly

Doubt any of that helped :o
