Are they any good? My dds would love one but am not convinced - will I have to spend Christmas trying to make it fly or do they actually work? Thanks!

Hmm, we had one a few years ago, it is nylon see through thread that you attach to a hair slide, you out the hair slide in their hair and they use the wand to move to thread away so it looks like the fairy on the end is flying.

The hair slide kept coming out and the thread broke a lot. It lasted 3 days before I hid it. Dd didn't ask for it out again.

We were looking at this after Dd 6 showed an interest in it. We watched You Tube and saw a father and daughter giving it a go, the girl looked around 8/9 and it took quite a while for her to manage it. We decided against it after watching as Dd would probably get fed up as it takes a while to 'get it right'. Check the you tube tutorial out and see what you think. Wink

We've just bought one for my daughters 3rd birthday. She LOVES it. But, it eats batteries and its very annoying having a noisy fairy hovering above your head when your watching tv or trying to have a conversation! I also think its expensive for what you actually get. But it's lovely to see her enjoying it :-)
