Best place for brown parcel wrapping...

Apologies, as I bet this has been asked a million times,
But I want to wrap my presents in brown wrapping paper, and want to know from experience where the best place to buy it is, as I don't want the thin stuff

I have this wonderful idea of wrapping my presents in brown wrapping paper, stamped myself, wrapped in beautiful ribbon... Although with a 10 week old DD and trying to decorate our bedroom before christmas it's going to be a hard task!

I bought a huge roll from Amazon last year, for wrapping parcels to post. Very cheap, and arrived the next day. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the seller, so not much help.

Pound Land or the post office

NotSoChicAfterAll · 18/11/2013 10:57

Are they good quality from pound land or the post office, would like it quite thick

Amazon do thick stuff quite cheap, 20 meters for around 6 quid

GlitteredPinecones · 18/11/2013 14:35

I've bought lots of this one. Wrapped lots of gifts and it hasn't ripped. Use code REINDEER for 20% off too. Or try one of these codes- DVC25 or PREF25 and it should give 25% off.

staples- huge roll of paper for about £6.

The paper is of a really good quality. I bought some from Poundland and it ripped when wrapping up.

I use it to wrap things to be sent in the post.

The stuff from the PO is good - but IIRC not large packs so prob not that cheap. Anything being sold for wrapping parcels should be a lot thicker than normal wrapping paper anyway.

8m roll for £2.99 in Hobbycraft - nice thick paper

andadietcoke · 18/11/2013 16:19

I bought it from hobbycraft yesterday. 8m rolls were £2.50 I think, but on 3 for 2 and there was a £5 off a £20 spend offer. Not sure if that's a regular thing - they just gave me a voucher when I went in! It's very thick 'craft' paper.

Think Wilkinson's do it too but there's not one near us. Gutted I didn't think of Amazon!

I got an enormous roll from Costco last week. It was pretty cheap but can't remember how much exactly.
