I'm just watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, it's totally cheesy but so, so funny!

What's everyone's favourite christmas film?

Miracle on 34th Street, both Home Alones, The Night They Saved Christmas

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 16/11/2013 22:47

I think Santa Claus is Tim Allen? (Not sure)

We like

Nativity 1 ( didn't like 2)
A Christmas Carol (animated Jim Carey one)

DC love Home Alone
Polar Express

I like Love Actually

Lost Christmas (watched last week)

National Lampoon but I love Chevvy Chase Grin

MinnieBar · 16/11/2013 22:54

Yy to Die Hard.

We watch it every year…

Mellowandfruitful · 16/11/2013 23:00

I really like Elf, Love Actually, Jingle All The Way, the Die Hards, The Family Stone, National Lampoon, Home Alone...

Home For The Holidays is on Christmas24 on Monday evening - haven't seen it but it looks promising. Holly Hunter and Robert Downey Jr. Smile

sparklysilversequins · 16/11/2013 23:02

Gremlins, so Christmassy yet spooky at the same time, win win.

tearoomtrash · 16/11/2013 23:14

National Lampoon!

Watching it has been my family's Christmas Eve tradition Since i was a teen. I can practically recite it word for word, but it wouldn't be Christmas without it Grin

cuppachai · 16/11/2013 23:17

It's a Wonderful Life. 'To my brother George, the richest man in town' Sob....

SaigonSaigon · 16/11/2013 23:20

Santa Claus The Movie and Home Alone.

About time they made another good family movie like Home Alone. Brilliant stuff.

CointreauVersial · 17/11/2013 01:09

Polar Express. I just adore it.

VerySmallSqueak · 17/11/2013 01:21

I used to bloody love watching The Poseidon Adventure every Christmas.

But on a more upbeat feel, its got to be The Polar Express.

miffybun73 · 17/11/2013 01:23

White Christmas is my absolute favorite. We love all the others already listed but White Christmas is extra special.

kelper · 17/11/2013 06:55

It used to be the muppets, but I got the DVD and they've taken that song Scrooges fiancé sings, so it's not as good now!
The polar express is brilliant, in fact I may watch it tonight when I get in :)

pinkmagic1 · 17/11/2013 06:57

Polar Express

IHadADreamThatWasNotAllADream · 17/11/2013 08:32

For anyone looking for a "new" Christmas film, you could do a lot worse than Arthur Christmas. Very funny and appropriately soppy. Bill Nighy as Grandpa Christmas is excellent and Hugh Laurie is Hugh Laurie which is always a win.

Isildur · 17/11/2013 09:09

National Lampoons, Mixed Nuts, Home Alone obviously.

I like The Family Stone too, and Christmas With the Kranks.

Muppets Christmas Carol, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Polar Express are nice.

The Snowman, as long as it's the version with the proper David Bowie intro, and his cool Christmas scarf Grin.

PuppyMummy · 17/11/2013 09:13

Another vote for Muppets Christmas Carol!
also The Holiday and Miracle on 34th St

nipersvest · 17/11/2013 09:15
