Help
Everyone is asking me for Xmas present ideas for me and I just don't have a clue.
What do you want for Xmas?

OP posts:
TessCackle · 14/11/2013 22:05

From my DP a silver bracelet with a heart charm. My sisters (3 of them) are getting me a cream sauce pan set I'm so boring and my parents bought me a washing machine when mine packed in a few weeks ago. HTH

Wineandchoccy · 14/11/2013 22:05

Skinny jeans
Benefit porefressional
Mascara
Slippers
Dressing gown
Chamois leather + air freshener for my new company car!

ELR · 14/11/2013 22:14

Dkny watch
Alex Monroe bumble bee necklace
Purple coolpix camera

Hopefully should get at least one of those, what I would really love is a stocking with some surprises in but DH isn't good at stuff like that, so I've also purchased myself a neom candle, an envelope clutch from boden and an umbrella by a company called wanderlust which I will just enjoy having as DH alwYs moans if I ask for things like that and just says he'd rather I just buy them as and when!

Longdistance · 14/11/2013 22:17

Im a cheap date. I only want Cee Lo Greens CD and a slanket old ladies blanket

TwoStepsBeyond · 14/11/2013 22:17

Roller skates, a cosy jumper and DP is threatening to buy me some electronic gadget, such as a Roomba, which would be amazing but not sure I could cope with telling people I got a Hoover for Xmas!

LulaPalooza · 14/11/2013 22:19

Marking my place. I need inspiration! I will get something fairly blah from M&S from my DF or £20 cash. DM and DstepF always bu fab presents, with loads of thought put into it. It's only DH who I will have to tell what to buy make subtle suggestions to

Pinkpinot · 14/11/2013 22:19

A divorce

fuzzpig · 14/11/2013 22:21

From my parents - framed print of the snail by Matisse :o

From DH probably a ukulele!

I have also got myself a few bits for my stocking Blush DH a bit miffed but I couldn't resist an Optic Wonder (had one as a kid, BEST TOY EVER), a card game recently rereleased after years out of print, and Oz the Great and Powerful DVD.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 14/11/2013 22:24

A hand held anemometer Grin do t think I will get one though.

ShatnersBassoon · 14/11/2013 22:25

A stocking full of little surprises from DH. I'm trying to convince everyone else to not worry this year (too old and, if I'm honest, bored of the same old same old), but they're not listening.

iklboo · 14/11/2013 22:25

A lovely MNer (so sorry I forget who) has a 'something you want, something you need, something to wear, something to read' present guide. Maybe that helps?

2kidsintow · 14/11/2013 22:26

:( Pinkpinot.

I want a new sofa. DH is HARD on sofas. And our super, curved, 5 seater thing is no longer practical. And DD shows me today that he (or the geriatric cat) has managed to make a hole in the arm. Great.

However, geriatric cat means new sofa not practical. :( :( He'll just ruin any new one by scrabbling up it.

joanofarchitrave · 14/11/2013 22:28

[googles Optic Wonder]

I haven't really asked for anything. What I would actually like:

iPad with lots of apps for work
neonatal stethoscope
Ella Doran place mats, maybe these
The Sleepwalkers (book)
Theatre tokens
Massage tokens

Mintyy · 14/11/2013 22:30

Might ask for a greenhouse.

IpsyUpsyDaisyDo · 14/11/2013 22:32

A slow-cooker. They are life-changing apparently...

Weeantwee · 14/11/2013 22:32

All I have asked for so far is pyjamas from DM and rabbit ears salad servers from DH. Confused

I need to up my game!

CharlotteBronteSaurus · 14/11/2013 22:33

Morrissey's autobiography
a goodly amount of Green and Black's sea salt chocolate
an afternoon to myself, on which to enjoy both of the above

ladydepp · 14/11/2013 22:58

Bedside carafe
Handheld blender
Books (various)
Monica Vinader jewellery
Jo Malone blackberry and bay something.....
Liz Earle hand serum
chocolate covered brazil nuts
Arctic monkeys cd for the car

Any or all of the above! Grin

gintastic · 14/11/2013 23:16

I was planning to buy some posh thermostatic radiator valves for the house, but unexpectedly will probably have to spend the money on childcare (see my other thread). I really want them, but asking for radiator valves for Christmas?

Should I?

Otherwise, DH usually indulges my foot fetish. For my sewing machine, that is, I would like a pintuck foot and a flower foot Smile

I'm pretty easy to please, to be honest!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/11/2013 23:32

I already have ordered/ DH has bought ;

A gorgeous solitaire ring

A nice big M&S handbag

4 new tyres for the car (ok not as glamorous as the previous 2 but a necessary purchase)

I want a new food processor (household buy) .
I could get a Kenwood but I covet a KitchenAid or a snazzy Dualit from John Lewis)

Arohaitis · 14/11/2013 23:38

I will probably get nothing
Except I have a chocolate orange all for me and got myself a lovely red mini handbag off ebay.

I want some complex things but outside of good health and world peace etcetc, what i really want it to have a healthy pregnancy (need to conceive first!) and what I really really want is twins!

Mogz · 14/11/2013 23:38

Lots of books and time to myself for a bubble bath.

Spaulding · 14/11/2013 23:51

A breadmaker
Recipe books
Converse

That's it! Since having DS he gets spoilt with all the presents and I just get one or two! Envy Grin

gintastic · 14/11/2013 23:54

Oooh Converse. I would like some of those. Smile

MairzyDoats · 14/11/2013 23:57

A panini press, some John Lewis mercurised silver candlesticks, sheepskin scuffs and books.
