Help me find the perfect slippers for DF

Not a cliche, he's asked for slippers that must be cosy and warm, comfortable and go past his ankles. So boots probably!

Any suggestions or recommendations?

Watching thread as my DP is wearing a pair of my slipper boots, ooohing and aaaahing about how cosy they are. Would like to get him a more 'manly' pair for christmas but can't find any.

John Lewis has some. Also come in different patterns.

M&s usually have good ones but not sure on boots. Maybe somewhere young-ish river island etc.
