Hi I have booked harry potter tickets for the 2nd of Jan as a xmas present for us all me, dh, dd8, ds7 and ds4. Want to get some ideas on how to gift them as we collect them from the studio, and don't want to just say to the kids xmas that's what I happening! Need some inspired ideas please as this is our main present xx

Treasure map that they have to work out clues for?

KatyMac · 12/11/2013 22:56

Do you have a fireplace?

They could be in a little pile of scrolls tied with ribbon with each persons name on as if they had been delivered by flue

A sort of pretend printed certificate entitling the bearer to entry

We did this last year for my daughter. We bought a Harry potter calendar and put a letter in an envelope on the back and drew a circle around 4th January on the back of the calendar. The letter was from Father Christmas but you could do it from Dumbledore. Depends how old your children are and whether they would buy into it :-)

Ive seen on Pinterest a white balloon, decorated to look like Hedwig, with a scroll dangling off. Helium filled, so it floats.

Could go one further and have the musoc playing as it floats into the room.

balloon

As an aside, how amazing is this

I like the tied to a cuddly owl idea!

I've bought tickets to see Shrek and have bought the whole family Shrek ears to wrap up. Could you do the same with a broomstick or a Harry Potter glasses or something?

Hide them in a jar of jelly beans.

Have a wonderful time!!

Retropear · 13/11/2013 18:11

Ooooo loving the jelly bean idea although they may not find them for a whole and you risk being left a little deflated.
