The very exciting Character Underwear thread

:o

Since lots of people seem to get character underwear for stockings I thought it might be useful to share what characters can be found where!

Last year I used Disney Store and the boxers (cars ones - only boxers available IIRC, they mostly do briefs), boys vests (also cars) and knickers (Snow White) have lasted really well. Unlike the princess vests I got from there, the picture peeled off after one wash Angry so won't be doing that again. Our local Disney store has closed anyway :(

This year I've noticed you can get Gruffalo boxers in M&S which would make DS very happy - is their underwear decent quality?

No idea what to get DD (6). Not so into princesses now, doesn't really know bloody annoying moshi monsters or the recent Disney things like Sofia/McStuffins. Can't find Gruffalo knickers either. Any suggestions?

fuzz our local disney store has shut down too (maybe you're near me Confused )....Primarni had moshi knickers last time I looked, as well as Peppa Pig and I think Minnie Mouse. Seem to last as well as any others for around four quid for a pack of five

My DC have always had M&S undies (though DD will sometimes buy Primark knickers. She's into womens sizes now - size 6. So of course now she won't entertain girls knickers unless it's the seam-free shorts style)

DS is 14 soon, and will only wear the M&S trunks. Boxers too baggy , doesn't like briefs.
But he's tiny waisted so I get him the 11-12 age.

I had a look at the Gruffalo pants online - cuuuutteeee

Not bought character pants for DS for many years but IIRC they washed well. I think he was Sonic the Hedgehog and Bart Simpson. Now just plain.

DD used to like the Tatty Teddy ones. (And they washed well and lasted)

Only M&S knickers I've had trouble with were a seam free shorts that kept getting loose threads. They were a stretch microfibre not cotton.

My local Disney store has closed down too, either a heck of a coincidence or they've all gone down the pan?!

lucysmam · 10/11/2013 21:54

hmmmm, wonder if Disney Store has gone down the pan then Hmm

We have Disney Stores in Romford, Lakeside and (IIRC Bluewater)

I find that m and s boys briefs come up small. 5yo DS fits into 5-6 yo clothes from there and everywhere else, but he wears 7-8yo briefs. Of course, he may just have inherited my generous bottom ...

Happy my DS has a tiny weeny bottom Grin
When he was 12 I bought him Next trunks for a change.
Luckily I opened a pack, the age 12 were huge.
I bought him 9-10 they were huge.

He would've fitted 7-8 but I knew there was no way my DS would waft about in 7 yo pants Shock I'd have to cut the label out.
