Which advent calendars do your shops have - particularly interested in cheapo ones as they have a 1/3 share in a wooden one to finace too!

One stop for £1 has-
peppa pig
one direction
simpsons
monsters uni
skylanders
hello kitty.

Our one-stop has the same. They are cheap but we were disappointed last year that they have no pictures behind the doors just the chocolate and clear plastic.

I think Co-op had 2 for £3 on the Cadbury's ones when I was in earlier.

We've finally given in and gone for a playmobil one this year combined with putting chocolates etc. in a cloth one we ended up buying last year. Less disappointment!

I'm struggling to find advent calendars in the shops. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong shops. Tesco had a pitiful collection as did asda and the pound shops on our retail estate. Asda staff said to give them time as it was still early (it was November 7th when I asked) for advent calendars Hmm, so not sure where else to look. We don't have a one stop shop near us.

Ours don't seem to mind the lack of pictures, it is really just something to keep them happy that they have opened something when it isn't their turn to open the wooden one with the nativity figure.

Morrisons did have a milkybar one - was v expensive - 2.70 or something, but have spotted online in tescos for 1.75 or 3 for 2. Not quite as bargainous but she does eat white chocolate. They'll probably all want that!

I got a Jake and the Pirates and a Monster High calendar in Poundland, they had a few others. Dc will be delighted with the ones I got.

Hello Kitty and TMNT at Home Bargains for 89p I imagine the chocolate is edible but that's about it, kids don't mind!

Staples had Cadbury ones, two for £2.99 which is pretty good I think... they also had the huge selection boxes 2 for £6

we normally get the cadburys ones where the chocolate gets bigger the closer you get to christmas - think its the magical advent calendar
