I just haven't a clue what music or even audio books to download on to it Confused

The only songs he knows is Gangnam Blush& The Wizard of Oz soundtrack Hmm

He is loving learning all the nursery rhymes & Christmas songs atm but which are the best versions as some sound really bad .

Hello

Have you looked on Amazon if you put in wizard of oz it will come up with other stuff people have brought too.

My DC adore the musicals, cats, and so on, and pretty much any audio books.

olibeansmummy · 08/11/2013 14:32

I'd get Pop Party or Now (whatever number we're on). Ds is 4 and likes Taylor Swift, Gangnam Style and Gentleman, Katie Perry, I Don't Care ( clean version), Little Mix, ( anything else with pretty girls in Blush ) so all stuff that features on these pop compilations.

He wouldn't like story CDs without the book so can't help you the sorry.

justaquickone · 08/11/2013 15:03

I did look at Pop Party but he just won't listen to any of those , Thanks though Smile

Elf
I'll have a look at other Musicals with him and see if he likes any Smile
Are their any particular books that your Dc like the best ?

oooh, marking place on this thread - my DD wants an ipod nano for xmas, they are too expensive imo but my mum wants to buy one. I have an ipod that my dd1 bought me so i download from itunes and just use music we have alredy in cds. Is it straightforward to download onto the cheaper mp3 players?

justaquickone · 08/11/2013 15:14

Yeah its straight forward - it even looks like one of those Ipods with the screen on .
Id of got him a better one but he will either break or lose it so no point - I just got him some decent headphones Smile

My DD is 4.5 and she still likes Raffi songs a lot, Baby Beluga best of the three CDs we have.

The only pop she knows is Graceland by Paul Simon, probably because I indoctrinated her when a baby, but it is a brilliant album.

Audiobooks, we have many, favourites include Winnie the Pooh, George's Marvellous Medicine, and Hugh Laurie reading Moomins (but not Hugh Dennis). And Paddington, read by Stephen Fry.

TheOnlyPink · 08/11/2013 18:03

My son is 6 and has asked for one too. I'm getting him a Now that's what I call music and will put the songs he knows from the radio on it and I got a phineas and ferb cd, all the songs from the show. Even if he doesn't watch it, they are lovely happy, catchy, innocent pop songs.

MadeOfStarDust · 08/11/2013 18:08

mine had the Disney Album at that age... sing along to all their old film favourites...

DisneyAddict88 · 08/11/2013 21:04

I would go with disney music Smile

I think justin from cbeebies has a few nursery rhyme cds

stories the book people have a julia Donaldson set for £9.99 has 10 various cds including gruffalo etc

raisah · 08/11/2013 23:43

Puff the magic dragon & Somewhere over the rainbow (two versions) Wizard of oz songs are what my dc listen to.

CrotchStitch · 09/11/2013 01:04

Just a word of warning, the Now discs are fine and generally contain radio edits rather than the explicit versions. But they also contain songs that, while they are not explicit, I'm sure you wouldn't want your DCs listening to Hmm
It's likely to be easier to download the MP3's from iTunes, Amazon etc. That way you can pick the ones that are relevant :)

Splatt34 · 09/11/2013 07:45

Is saw a Now Disney advertised on tv the other day

justaquickone · 09/11/2013 18:07

Thanks
I've managed to sort music .

I just can't find anywhere with a large variety of audio books to download

You can download audio books for free via your library webpage where I live, if you use your library card. Maybe try that. Also Audible is a website for audio books owned by Amazon, maybe check it out.
