Ideas for 14 yo DS

Don't have a lot to spend this year. I have a DD 16 who can think of a million things she wants for Xmas but i am really struggling with 14 yo DS. I've got a budget of £50/60 for the main pressie and will do stockings as well which are pretty much sorted (thanks to Clubcard boost and half-price H&B gift sets) but i am really struggling for ideas for the main stuff. He has a laptop, iPod, Nintendo DS, xBox etc already and does not want any games for them. He is not particularly into any bands so unless he asks for something in particular, associated music stuff and CDs are out. He has expressed an interest in clothes but all the things he has pointed out that he likes will mean that within that budget he will get about two things. He likes Minecraft but apparently its not cool to advertise this at the age of 14 which is a bit disappointing as i'd seen (what i thought) were quite cool hats and t-shirts. If all else fails I'll just have to give him the money and he can buy stuff. He is saving up for an iPhone so it could go towards that i suppose.

It's a hard age I think as they are all into what they like and it's really easy to get that wrong.

I have a 13 and a half year old and a 12 and a half year old. The younger one is getting to the point where apprecaites designer clothes and knows that they are expensive but the elder one isn't interested in clothes at all. I think at 14 they know that it can easily cost £40 upwards for 1 hoody but they will love it. Unless you can get a good deal though, I'd be inclined to maybe get him a voucher so he can either buy the particular item he covets or get a bit more for his cash in the sales.

My eldest loves drawing and has had an architects drawing board and materials in the past and also things like a graphics tablet and animation software for his laptop. The younger one likes Manga and Anime so has his eye on some books/posters/trash.

So without knowing your son, I'm just going to give some random suggestions in case anything strikes a chord:

Tent
Dart Board
Basketball net
table football
membership for the local gym/sports centre
Watch
penknife
Some designer accessories that he could add to his cheaper versions of clothes - i.e. A hat/wallet/socks/bag etc
A stunt scooter
Gaming chair
new "cool" bedding and accesories for his room
Designer wallet with the cash towards his iphone in or vouchers for Hollister or wherever it is he wants to get his clothes from.

As an aside, Ebay can be a great source for clothes for him, he will be in adult S i would think as a minimum - designer gear tends to be small made , and there always seems to be bits going 2nd hand - maybe not for christmas, but just for when he needs new things anyway.
