my dd would like a bugg/pram for Christmas, we are short on space so it needs to be compact (or even foldable if poss), she is very tall and so they ones you see in ELC etc are no good as she has to stoop to push.

Any ideas?

I got DD a brio one for her birthday, it has an adjustable handle. It is much too big for her, I didn't realise how big until she stood next to it, just hope now that she'll still like it when she grows into it Blush I am 5'5'' and only have to bend a tiny bit to push it with its handle at the highest position Smile

This is the one she has Smile www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B003AVMUZE/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?qid=1383852215&sr=8-10&pi=AC_SX110_SY165

I've got exactly the same problem as you op Confused (my dd is nearly seven and nearly as tall as me!)...am struggling to find something bargainous though that's tall enough so am unwillingly looking at some of the cheaper strollers for real babies Sad (something like the one in the link is well out of my budget).

calamitygin · 07/11/2013 21:29

I was willing to pay up to about £40 as this would be her main present (cheaper than the bike she'd like, again, no space to put it anywhere). Thanks for the link whispers but that is too pricey and also I think a bit too big.

I really don't want to get a real stroller lucy ... it would freak me out a bit! I'm just being lazy really, I can trawl the net but would rather someone present me with the perfect solution at the bargain price of under £20

aha! ebay lucy

lucysmam · 07/11/2013 21:45

really!? What have you found? I tend to stick to amazon because I'm too lazy when I sit down to get up for my card so I can change details on ebay

calamitygin · 07/11/2013 21:48

oh hang on though look at this one

I really like it! looks more like a toy buggy and it fold up. One of the reviews is from someone just under 5ft who has to stoop to use it so it sounds perfect for my 4f er

most of the ebay ones are pick up only, what do you think of the kiddicare one? funky n'est pas? and £20 is a reasonable price I reckon

calamitygin · 07/11/2013 21:52

hahaha I nearly didn't buy something on Amazon tonight because my cc had expired on it and I was feeling too lazy to get up and get my purse with the new one in. Buckled in the end though as it was for a protector for my new phone which I MUST have

yeah I quite like that one, and it doesn't look too like a grown up buggy for a real child to sit in. wonder if a chouchou dolly would strap in ok.

Will bookmark it to show dp in the morning....best at least show the fella what I'm possibly going to order with his wages Grin

lucysmam · 07/11/2013 21:53

Glad it's not just me who's too lazy to get up for the little things! Grin

calamitygin · 07/11/2013 22:14

it's a faff getting up isn't it Grin though funnily enough I have no problem getting up (right now infact) for a piece of banana cake

OP posts:
lucysmam · 07/11/2013 22:20

ha, that's me all over....dither about getting up so I can actually do something....but no trouble getting up for Wine or Cake the important stuff of course

lucysmam · 10/11/2013 09:37

Morning Calamity Smile

Just thought I'd let you know, I've had a measure of my 4ft 2in six yo with some dollys buggys and this mamas and papas one has a handle that goes up to 76cm and was comfy for her to push at 74ish for the moment (I took a tape measure Grin ).

Not a bad price either I don't think.

Anyway, hth you if you didn't order the Kiddicare one Smile

calamitygin · 11/11/2013 12:00

Oh my! that is lovely isn't it and it folds down too. Thanks lucy I haven't ordered anything yet so very happy that you got in touch. I think my daughter is the same height as yours (and the same age). I have to buy her tights in age 9-10 years! Unbelievably there is a girl in her class who is taller than her though hardly suprising as her mother is over 6ft.

Waffling now - thanks so much!

I have a couple more in my amazon basket, been looking today. Will link them for you when I get in too Smile

lucysmam · 11/11/2013 13:10

Right...

There's this one I'm not so keen on but has a change bag so would save me dusting off my sewing machine. This one isn't free delivery either so not quite as cheap as it first looks.

this one the carry cot part comes off so would eliminate the need for me to hunt for a cot for the doll as well Grin

Or this one which is probably my favourite of them all & handle goes up to 88cm so would allow for yet more growing Hmm

My dd is seven in Jan, easily the biggest in her class...size 9-10 clothes, adult 2 in shoes...makes buying the little girl stuff she wants/likes quite a challenge sometimes Confused

Anyway, hth you a bit, we'll either go with the first one I linked or the last....I'm ordering Friday so best get my indecisive arse in gear & decide Grin
