Home Alone 1 & 2. Always, always makes me laugh and have good Christmassy vibes.

MrsHowardRoark · 05/11/2013 20:05

It has to be Elf.

It's funny and sweet without being too schmaltzy.

Figgygal · 05/11/2013 20:06

A Christmas Story!

TheOnlyPink · 06/11/2013 06:41

Santa Claus the movie, the one with Dudley Moore. Its one of my sons favorites, he's 6.

Icepickinyourheadofthepops · 06/11/2013 06:59

The snowman, both the lovely original and the show on stage. And Raymond Briggs Father Christmas too. The nutcracker, and Disney a Christmas carol from a few years ago. Merry Madagascar though short is good fun too I think Smile

Icepickinyourheadofthepops · 06/11/2013 06:59

Four Christmases with Vince Vaughan had some v comedy moments

BiddyPop · 06/11/2013 08:42

We have a lot of those already mentioned between DVD and DVD recording (am under threats of painful death from dd - 8 - if I ever delete either Home Alone 1 or 2 from the box!).

Includes Polar Express
the Santa Clause 1-4
And loads more

This year, I am hoping to find either on netflix or DVD the Grinch and the Nightmare before Christmas.

yonisareforever · 06/11/2013 10:03

santa calus the moveie here too i have it playing hte bbackgrpund for the chrstmasy secenes

SunshineAndPeardrops · 06/11/2013 13:48

I like:-

Santa Claus the Movie
Nativity 1 and 2
Jingle All the Way
Authur Christmas

I really don't see the appeal of Elf, but I'm clearly in the minority...

Also the first Alvin and the Chipmunks is a bit Christmassy. I quite like that.

Mignonette · 06/11/2013 13:51

YYY to all the above and-

Christmas with the Kranks
Deck The Halls (Love Danny De Vito)
A Hobo's Christmas (with Mickey Rooney)
Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium
The Family Man (with Nick Cage)
The Grinch
The Holiday

sonlypuppyfat · 06/11/2013 13:54

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation is the funniest by far. I went to see Elf at the cinema and the bit when santas sleigh goes up was amazing on the big screen it made us cry.

LucilleBluth · 06/11/2013 14:06

I used to live in the town where they filmed the Santa Clause, a few years after they filmed it :)

Home Alone is my all time fave, and HA 2 is good for a sequel.
