Advice thread for cancelling magazine trial subscriptions...

Think posts were getting lost in the bargain thread....

I have the CL subscript with free wellies. Emailed Hearst saying I did not wish to continue with subscript. They've hit me with the t&c 12 months email. Tbh I feel completely misled- I thought the point of a trial was to try it out! If min term is 12 months they shouldn't offer 3 month or 6 month packages.

Not sure whether to just cancel direct debit with bank and ignore Hearst or to email them back...

I'm going to keep posting my magazine and Murad updates on the normal thread.

As far as your subscription goes I would ignore Hearst magazine, they have no right to try and rope you in for 12 months. Cancel your DD and enjoy your willies. I wouldn't have even bothered contacting them to be honest.

Enjoy your willies ....Hee Hee....that's amused me this morning :)

i got the rihanna perfume one, the elemis one and the gift of murad one.

After receiving the free gifts, i just emailed them explaining i wish to cancel, don't send me any more mags, and that I've cancelled the DDs with my bank.

They sent me emails back but i never opened them.

Happy to ignore them for now if that's what everyone else is doing. But some of you are much more articulate with quoting t&c than me and I would like to copy your emails/ arguments WinkWink

For anything I want to cancel I simply stop the dd. They cannot take the money if you've cancelled it.

You usually end up in some ridiculous debate if you phone to cancel or emails mysteriously don't arrive. Be pro active at your end Smile

I'll join in with this as well as I also did CL. I think it's very deceptive, offering a three month trial that you have to do for 12 months.
