Struggling to think of things that family can get ds for xmas for around £30. Any ideas?
Saw the rainbow aquadoodle but not sure if it is too young for him, has anyone else got it?

He loves numbers, abc, shapes etc and already has quite a lot of phonics stuff.

What are you getting your 3 year old boys? Thanks

Type educational toys into amazon, and look in all the departments. Comes up with pages of excellent toys all based around pre-school learning. Magnetic words and numbers, snap cubes, rhyming and sound board games, lacing beads and cotton reels, construction toys and sciencey things like little glow in the dark planets.

Excellent prices and stuff that will keep them entertained and stimulated for a while at least Grin

From family for DS1 (3.4):

Bosch Work Case

Wooden cut and play food

Vtech switch and go dino

Jumbo magnifiers

Also lots of books - Mog, Hugless Douglas etc.

He's got a scooter as his main present.

Has he got a wooden railway? When DS was that age, he loved his and I used to suggest that family buy him bits of track or engines for birthday/Christmas.

doineedhelp · 04/11/2013 10:44

He has quite a lot of that stuff already amd has loads of books. The dinosaurs look good though thanks.

He is having a balance bike as main present, also got keyboard, cash register and a few other bits.

He has a train set and loves it, suppose we could add tothat.

ThThanks for the ideas everyone Thanks

My son has had the rainbow aquadoodle since 22 months and has used it with no problems since the day he got it. It's definitely not too young for a 3 year old.

Pascha · 04/11/2013 11:04

Its like a Transformer I think, with a voice. DS has an affinity for dinosaurs and cars and he likes gadgety stuff so it seems like a perfect toy for him.

doineedhelp · 04/11/2013 11:18

Thanks spaulding... I think he will like it too.
Ds just getting into dinosaurs so might take the plunge

There are so many educational toys at ELC www.elc.co.uk/educational-toys/5571,default,sc.html. They have loads of games involving numbers, letters and animals for under £30 for his age.
