Does anyone know when it usually starts?

I heard its going to be Lily Allen singing Keane?

Blush I wasn't casting aspersions (I sob like a baby at JL ads, the buggers) but the article made me laugh.

I weep at a lot of cartoon bollocks. Hell, if I even think of Watership Down too much I cry

BillStickersIsInnocent · 08/11/2013 23:53

It reminded me of Watership Down, especially when 'Hazel' rabbit's ears go down and he looks down and to the side. And when his eyes well up. I really loved it.

timidviper · 09/11/2013 00:11

We all know it's cynical marketing but choose to ignore that. I don't love this one as much as some of their previous years but, if we had one locally, I would buy everything at John lewis because they just seem so lovely.

SunshineSuperNova · 09/11/2013 00:18

I used to weep buckets at the JL advert with the young woman growing to old lady. I haven't watched this ad yet but I'm just putting off the inevitable.

BumPop · 09/11/2013 00:26

I can't see it via the link below, utube has marked the video as private. Sad As a non x factor watcher, can anyone suggest links to actual ad or just the song? I love seeing stuff before everyone else. I know I am sad and I don't care! Blush

BumPop · 09/11/2013 00:37

OK, if you type "john lewis Christmas 2013" into Google. You'll find it. Apologies for being so lazy, but on that note if anyone less dense than me can post a proper link, I'm sure fellow Luddites would be grateful. Wink

BreconBeBuggered · 10/11/2013 00:38

www.keanemusic.com/archive-comment.php?id=3771 Try this?

SugarHut · 10/11/2013 02:51

I watched it earlier. And sobbed in front of two friends. Winner Hmm

coffeeaddict · 11/11/2013 19:48

I must be the only person in the world who thinks the bear would have been better off asleep. He is hibernating. He doesn't WANT to get up.

The hare reminds me of my dcs trying to pluck me out of bed, middle of the night, to 'look at something'. I don't want to look at something, I want to sleep!!!

PS I am not usually an old cynic and wept buckets at the girl growing older ad. :)

ChristmasCrackFox · 11/11/2013 22:21

Agreed, the girl growing older ad makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, but this new one leaves me unmoved.

pigsinmud · 11/11/2013 22:26

I loved it. Felt really sad when the snowflake fell and the hare's ears flopped down.

I thought the bear wanted to see Christmas, but he just couldn't stay awake. He looks very happy when he sees the christmas tree. I prefer it to the snowman one from last year.

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 11/11/2013 22:29

Utter utter croc of shite. As are all the Xmas Adverts that took over Downton Abbey last night.

BoundandRebound · 11/11/2013 22:35

Meh!

I think its crap disneyfied schmaltz

PoppyAmex · 12/11/2013 02:32

I cry at everything (especially now that I'm 38 weeks pregnant), but this left me cold; it's just really bland.

normaleggy · 12/11/2013 07:09

Load of old tosh. I liked the article though...

jamtoast12 · 12/11/2013 11:27

It reminds me of brother bear!

Tiredemma · 13/11/2013 09:26

this is very clever
