my kids normally get cheap trainers..sports direct or even primark.

they both have a pair of £3 "vans" from primark but they are on theri way out.. tbf they lasted 4 motnhs and still have life in them left but they look a bit tatty.

i have been wantting to buy them some for a while.. and myself some but thats another thing lol.

what i want to know.. are they worth it.. are they comfy as they say and do they last well.

wheres the best place to buy them?

I don't know much about them we hear converse as we all have freakishly narrow feet! However Office have a lot, some in the sale and TREAT gives 20% off the full price ones.

killpeppa · 30/10/2013 09:55

primark has £6 ones as well.
I have them and real vans and they have worn and lasted just as long

Hmm We hear Converse sounds like we are from Sixth Sense Grin
We wear Converse

YDdraigGoch · 30/10/2013 09:55

I think they are worth the money - DDs have lasted for ages, and she says they are very comfortable. But she's a teenager and her feet have stopped growing. I doubt I would have splashed out when she was younger, and needing a new shoe size at least once a year.

we have the primark ones and they have lasted pretty well tbf, they have also inharrtied my stupy wide feet hmm.

i shall check the office out thanks for that tip.

im hopping to recive my first ever child maintaince in four years on thursday so im feeling a little bit spoiling coming on Grin

Ds wears them a lot, they are comfortable and last for ages. Do you have an outlet village near you? There is a vans shop in Cheshire Oaks, they are much cheaper eg jeans for £15 when the Liverpool One shop has jeans for £60! We usually pay about £25 for trainers at Cheshire Oaks.

My dd1 has some and loves them.

Look for them on Amazon, Office, Schuh, Scorpion Shoes and Cloggs.
You should be able to find some cheap ones if you hunt hard.enough!

I bout a pair for my son but am having to sell them on - i got the slip ons and he has a high instep and cant get them on. Adult size 7 UK washed black classic slip ons if anyone is interested :o

They are perfect in box, but I've left it too late to return them damn my disorganised head!

wonderingsoul · 30/10/2013 12:58

ohh both mine have a high instep (thats the bit at the top of the foot right? )

hmm i think im going to have to get them to try them on before i buy.. doesnt look like they can wear them.

the lace ups would probably be okay - i just completely forgot until my son tried to put them on that neither of my boys can wear slip ons :(
