Christmas ideas for a 2 yr old.

Im really trying to steer family towards money/vouchers as we already have too many toys and considering she is in full time nursery until the summer they don't all get played with.

Therefore older toys we can put to one side also appreciated!

I have got her these.

We also have lots of peppa pig stuff and she loves her older brother lego.

We have a wooden kitchen etc and it brimming with accessories.

Plan Toys basic wooden blocks - you can add Twisted blocks, water blocks, etc. later.

Playsilks for dressing up and small world sets.

Small world animal sets - Schliech, Holztiger, etc.

Balance bike.

Of those Ive taken out what we have or similar and will be looking up these

We LOVE orchard toys and they both have them on there wish lists.

I had a quick look of story sacks. Any ideas on where is good to but from. The ones I was looking at after seeing them on last thread were very expensive plus we already had most of the books/some cds/dvds.

I would go also go with lots of crafty stuff, dressing up outfits and accessories, baking set? puppets?

I love the Grimm's rainbow, but this made me laugh in the description:

DD2 will be getting paints I think this Christmas.

Oh, and I would also second the playsilks, we bought a bit more of a budget version similar to these and they have been one of the most played with and useful toys we've ever had.

Will look up baking sets and also think I will do a storysack based on one of our faves!

I'm a primary school teacher I usually see such lovely stuff in educational catalogues then have to work out how make it myself for a quarter of the price!

DD is only 13 months.

Just googled that sainsbury's rainbow, what a bargain!

The only thing is it's definitely a puzzle type whereas the similar ones I've seen which are more expensive are strong enough for a 5 year old to stand on the arches.

I'm also thinking about some gardening bits for DD2, a wheelbarrow maybe? She can help rake the leaves then!

DS is getting the playmobile farm and a thomas the tank engine duvet set to try and persuade him to sleep in his own bed

He's also getting an easel as he loves painting and drawing.

Anything cars, trains and planes is always a hit.

We're not bothering with a balance bike because I think by next summer he'll be using a pedal bike, however he does totally adore his scooter and trike.
