Have you ever got one of those books where 'your child is the hero of the story'?

You know, you tell them your child's name, DOB, hometown, friends etc and they incorporate that into the text. Thinking of getting one for DD (5) for Christmas....

Are they any good? If so, which one did you get?

Thanks :)

We have a couple. One from Identity Direct I think - well, a few, a Christmas one for DS, a Princess and a Dora one for DD. She loves them (DS too young to appreciate!). The other was from It's Your Story, pricier but you give them name and photo of child's face and they put it in the story. DD has one about a dressing up box.

We got DS the Thomas the Tank Engine one as he had all the Thomas books and we thought it would be nice for him to have special one of his own.

It is a very nice little book - but DS wasn't as excited as I thought he would be.
