Dd (4) is a real tomboy but likes playing with teddies/soft dolls and more recently a Cinderella Barbie type doll

Oops posted too soon...
Cinderella is ok as it's blue (!) but she detests anything pink or purple - where on earth do I find good boy dolls or less girly girl dolls - help!

I got a nice simple cheap one in Fenwicks, I got a soft bodied blue doll and my partner got a hard bodied doll with a duck dressing gown.

I saw a range of dolls linked to the other day that I thought looked good and less girly than many. They're called Lottie dolls, there are lots on amazon eg this one is quite tomboyish:

ELC do a boy baby - think he is called Max and a newborn boy.

Our house is doll city. We have them all.

Manhattan toys Lily Dolls are lovely but they are not hard dolls like Barbie /Cinderella, so it depends if that is what she wants.

Design a Friend Dolls are great little dollies.

My younger sister loves playing with them, and they're not all dressed in pink and purple either.

Rubens Barn dolls - lovely!

Do consider [http://www.smythstoys.com/tall-dolls-264sc/sam-toddler-doll-117231itm.aspx?qwSessionID=c41ba364-44db-4986-81b1-2a4f65910461 this freaky fellow]]

We have both the boy and girl version (they're massive). Have been huge hits with my girlie and visiting pals.

tassisssss · 29/10/2013 21:08

take 2, this freaky fellow!

I second the design a friend. In dds school almost every girl has one! You can choose different outfits too inc school uniform on eBay!

What about a toddler doll? Smyths toys have them - Sam is the boy and Sally is the girl.

They had them for £19.99 recently. Dressed in trendy clothes and are 63cm tall. We've got one for DD who is obsessed with her little brother (who unfortunately doesn't exist Sad - yet) so we decided to get her a toddler doll. Bizarrely though we went for Sally - not quite sure why - but tempted to get my DBro to buy her the Sam doll. She will LOVE them!!

Boy or boyish-clothed cabbage patch doll? Look on amazon/synths etc

tassisssss · 30/10/2013 21:22

Kat get both, we have Sam and Sally and LOVE them (links below)!
