Hi
Just after some opinions/experiences if possible. My DD who is 4.5 has mentioned a couple of times she would like a baby Annabell from Santa this year. She has some other babies etc but just wondered if baby Annabell is a good choice etc. was thinking maybe grandparents could get a pram maybe. She does have a little pushchair.
It is basically the only thing she has mentioned and I have no other ideas but wondered what others experiences were given her age etc.
thanks

My 2.5 dd loves baby annabel sooooo much!

My DD got hers last Christmas when she was nearly 5 yrs. She loves the doll and plays with her a lot but has barely ever used any of the functions and doesn't really ever 'switch her on' as she doesn't like the crying or noises she makes. I guess it was quite an expensive doll in that respect!

Dd has a baby annabelle but tbh she isn't that keen as she doesn't like the "realistic" noises and also her arms stick out awkwardly so that it's impossible to cuddle/cradle her.

We are getting her this one from Smyths this year. Excellent reviews.

Would she be better off with the smaller non-function My First Baby Annabell?

If your DD has played with a friends Annabell and has an idea of what it is like then I'd get her one.

Thanks for the replies. One of her best friends has one so I think that is where she has the idea from.
I think we can double up club card points on toys soon (must check!) and then it would only mean paying a couple of pounds.
Was thinking that then grandparents/family could get accessorise for it rather than lots of other random things...
I suppose my only worry is how much play will she get out if it but I guess that she is only 4.5 so plenty of time yet!!

Dd had a baby Annabel at that age and got years of fun from it. Good idea to get the accessories too.

My dd had a baby anabelle when she was 2.5 and she still plays with it occasionally now she 7.5. Her younger sister who is just three has recently found it so its getting a second round of play in this house. I don't think it was a waste of money at all it has been used loads.

My 6 year old plays with hers loads still, also I think there might be a half price Baby Annabel in the sainsburys toy sale at the moment.
