18th thread

If lost then see message 2 on the first page for the codes/info collated from previous threads (to save slow loading for those using phones).

Apologies that the long code list isn't fully updated from the last thread - I've been ill and haven't been able to keep up. If there's anything good which I can add to the next OP please will you fill me in and I'll add it? Thanks

ss asked me for a furby but his next sentence was what does it do....Grin Grin I'm glad he wasn't set on it as spending enough already. your dd will be thrilled snap a video of her reaction

supermariossister · 27/10/2013 08:14

ds had a squinkie set at five but hrs never been a child to put things in mouth so wasn't too worried I think they would be fine and that set is brill

Mercythompson · 27/10/2013 08:19

Has anyone seen a bargain wooden stamp set? For two little boys, so animals, trains, cars etc? Would really appreciate it if anyone has any suggestions?

Coveredinweetabix · 27/10/2013 08:21

Thanks super. All of these girls are very sensible although one of them has a newborn at home so won't get it for her but will for the ones without younger siblings.

Kiwi - tell me more about bargainous shopping trips in Reading? I am going next week and am already planning on going to Dunelm Mill for the Xmas throws and the "grotty" shopping centre (as opposed to Oracle) for TK Maxx, Poundland & Wilkos. Is there an out of town TK Maxx? What else is there?

notso · 27/10/2013 08:46

Not sure how bargain you are looking for Mercy but Amazon have some nice Melissa &Doug stamps. There is a Dinosaur one for £6.50 and a larger car one for £8.50.

Kettricken · 27/10/2013 08:52

I've finally given in and decided to make a trip to home bargains to see what the fuss is about. What bargainous bargains should I be looking for?

supermariossister · 27/10/2013 09:01

home and bargains is great for stocking fillers. decorations and bath stuff. they have Christmas hampers at the minute if your into that kind of thing. some nice kids pjs flannel type button up character ones. books are usually really cheap there, they are also selling character advent calendars but choice is limited. I don't work for them btwGrin Grin just have a town with hardly any shops so I frequent there the most

DisneyAddict88 · 27/10/2013 09:02

I have been on holiday for 2 weeks and missed 8 whole threads!

needabitofsleep · 27/10/2013 09:43

One of Zulily's events today is books. I've just bought a few 'ology' ones (pirate, Egypt, illusion and dinosaur) at £6.99 (they're about £12 on Amazon); they look fantastic for probably about age 6 upwards Smile

WhispersOfWickedness · 27/10/2013 09:48

Not got any bargains to post, but am Shock at notso's sister! I would love a photo calendar of nieces and nephews Sad

DreamlessSleep · 27/10/2013 09:59

One of my dsis's specifically asked for stuff of the children. (Proud aunty boasting mode at work haha.)

WaitMonkey · 27/10/2013 10:02
BeaLola · 27/10/2013 10:03

Notso if I had any nieces/nephews I would love such a gift. I think you should buy her a Cliff Richard calendar now.

janx · 27/10/2013 10:06

Thanks Iheart - ds is a tall 5 so too small. It's a onesie rather than dressing up but thanks for the link

LoreleisSecret · 27/10/2013 10:08

Notso's sister wouldn't be getting ANY gift If she was my sister. Cheek!

Brockle · 27/10/2013 10:16

I was wondering if anyone wanted a pink innotab 2? I bought one for DC2 and now DH said a tablet would be better. I can return it to the shop but thought someone may want to take advantage of the Ocado price. If anyone wants it for £31 plus postage (or pickup) then just message me xx

grew · 27/10/2013 10:22

Thanks littlemouse and dreamless for the styling doll suggestions

SpookyRestingFace · 27/10/2013 10:34

40% off The Body Shop INCLUDING sale items, code 14673

There's not much left in the sale, but I have just bought 250ml almond shower gel for £1.20, sweet lemon beautifying oil for £2.70 and brazil nut body butter for £3.00.

They're all for me, but would be fab little gifts.

acsec · 27/10/2013 10:36

Thanks to the person who posted about Bear Grylls' book - that's BIL sorted!

Picturesinthefirelight · 27/10/2013 10:41

To be fair to notsos sister I'd treat a photo calendar as unwanted clutter too.

I'd accept it gracefully of course but it would be shoved somewhere then thrown. I also don't like loads of school photos as I have nowhere to put them. The occasional one every few years is ok.

I have my organised mum calendar that is chosen as it fulfils what I need in a calendar.
