DD1 (5) is so easy to buy stocking fillers for, but I am struggling to think of what to get DD2.

So far she has a little soft doll and a sticker book.

Suggestions need to be on the smaller side as I need to pack everything.

Socks, small bath toys, small music toys (sainsbueys has some good ones in their toy sale ATM).

A book - we have got dd a Julia Donaldson hardback one. Think I've got her a peppa pig DVD too, although might save it for next year!

I'm going to put some fruit flake type snacks in too, and probably one pack of chocolate buttons so she isn't eyeballing ds's chocolate haul too much!

wonderingsoul · 24/10/2013 18:46

stacking cups?

chocolate lollys

hair bands?

bath toys.. ebay do 12 small animal toys (like the rubber duck) for £2.75 free dilvery here

fabric book?

wonderingsoul · 24/10/2013 18:46

whoo i managed to do the special links :D

shoppingbagsundereyes · 24/10/2013 18:58

Elc do nice musical instruments - castanets, wrist bells etc
Puppets?

Doitnicelyplease · 25/10/2013 01:19

Just feels like we have so many of the things suggested.
I like the buttons idea as her sister will get choc coins etc but I was thinking the baby didn't need quite that much chocolate!

I did find a nice bath toy today, so that is one more thing.

A puppet would be a good idea I have seen some cute realistic ones of small animals (bunnies, squirrels).

Sadly she doesn't have much hair yet for tying up, but a pack of clips might be an idea :)

We don't buy DVDs anymore and have lots of books already, she does like those little tiny packs of books you can get though...

Anyone else care to post what they have brought for this age?
Thanks

ELC sell individually wrapped happyland characters for £2

SoonToBeSix · 25/10/2013 03:11

Also bath crayons are fun

KalevalaForMePlease · 25/10/2013 04:39

Bubbles? I've seen cool ones in the arts and crafts shops that have bubbles you can catch in your hand.
Hair stuff? My DD is just starting to like having her hair put into pigtails.
Was at a friend's house last week and she had a whole load of fridge magnets, they were Peppa Pig ones, but I've seen doll dress up ones as well. DD loved them, stood at the fridge for ages with them.
Little wind up toys are a big hit here too, she loves chasing them around the room.

Crayons, pencil crayons or felts (Crayola do 12 month plus ones). Toy vehicle. Happyland figures/animals/vehicle. Box of mini board books - my 18 month old is currently mad for her Peppa Pig ones ("pigggeeeee!")

fuzzpig · 25/10/2013 06:42

Individual happyland/toddler playmobil (123 range) figures
Toy animals/dinosaurs
Cars
Toddler cutlery set in nice design
Cup/bowl/plate (if it fits)
Magic flannel
Buggy book

fuzzpig · 25/10/2013 06:42

Oh and socks! Gotta have socks.

fuzzpig · 25/10/2013 06:43

Bubbles a great idea although apparently those ones you can catch (touchable bubbles IIRC) stain badly.

KalevalaForMePlease · 25/10/2013 06:52

Ooh, thanks for that Fuzzpig, will keep that in mind

Doitnicelyplease · 25/10/2013 13:03

Starting to feel inspired now! Thanks for all the great ideas.

Love the idea of a small playmobil 123 person, as one of her main presents is the 123 takealong farm and it could do with an extra person.

Also wind-up toys I was going to get one for DD1, so will choose one for DD2 also.

Fridge magnets would probably go in her mouth still, but I will see if I can find any toddler suitable ones.

thanks again :)
