Fossil kits and dinosaur skulls?!

Any recommendations on the above?
Ds (4) would like a T. rex skull, obviously not lifesize. They are bloody expensive. I found this on eBay www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181196802436?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

It's from china! Would it be crap do you think? The only other thing I've found is a build it yourself one on amazon. Ds is very careful with his things but obviously I don't want to spend loads of money on a pretend dinosaur skull. The other thing would be fossils, we have a basic fossil set but any recommendations would be appreciated. Ds is big into dinosaurs and I'm encouraging it because at least it isn't guns and swords (which it has been for the last year or so. Sigh.)

UKGE Ltd is a fossil site that was recommended on here a few days ago. Can't seem to link to it on my phone.

Take a look at Natural History Museum shop website?

If he's good with noise, the Walking with Dinosaurs show which was on tour earlier this year (don't know if it still is) was highly rated by DS & DH.

Have you done the dinosaur egg thing, where you soak the egg and a dinosaur 'hatches' out? Would that appeal?

iseenodust · 22/10/2013 11:26

Off at a tangent, the Dinosaur Cove books might be appreciated at bedtime.

Ooh the walking with dinosaurs show looks fantastic, I hope it tours again this year.

I found this www.nhmshop.co.uk/dinosaur-replicas-and-collectors-models/t-rex-replica-skull-model-1-4/product.html
at the NHM but I'd like to pay about a tenth of that price!

We have done dinosaur egg hatching and had a cheap little excavator kit. Ds was a bit over excited and broke a fragile piece off with the chipping tool but I think it only cost £2 so the more expensive ones might be better.

Thank you for the suggestions, I really wish the NHM had smaller skulls for about £25-30ish.

ds got a Tarema fossil dog set for his birthday which was good. Came with goggles, chipping tool and brush. It was a T-rex that was in it rather than fossils (they must have got the boxes mixed up!).
