Would it be acceptible to get DC a refurbished ipod touch that says it has a few scratches?

My 3 DC love playing on my iphone so I decided to get them an ipod touch second hand, I have one that isn't used at the moment so just need to get another 2.

I have checked on Amazon though and the refurbished and used nearly all say they are scratch and I can't afford the £250 they are saying it is to buy new (and these are 2nd generation not latest model!)

Would a slightly scratched gadget be a problem?

Erm you should be able to get a 4th gen brand new for about £140!

£250 would be a 5th gen and a bigger memory, is the memory size important?

If you look at the refurbished stuff on the UK Apple store website, they have some in lovely colours with a 12 months guarantee, for a lot less than people on Amazon charge.

2nd generation are worth £20-40 approx, beware of the earlier generations a lot of apps will not work, also it won't accept latest iOS upgrade. The price you have seen seems very hgh, can you post a link?

I paid £199 for a brand new 32GB 5th gen about a month ago - definitely check prices.

MrsFlintLockwood · 21/10/2013 09:39

Or do you mean that it would be £250 to buy 2 of them, that would make a bit more sense

No it said they have 2 new from £250

www.amazon.co.uk/Apple-iPod-Touch-8GB-Generation/dp/B001E97GGW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1382349071&sr=8-1&keywords=ipod+touch+2nd+generation

I will have a look on the apple website thank you.

DDs are 11, 5 and 3. I was thinking about a child tablet but thought the ipod touch would last them longer and it would be easier to take them out if needed.
