Talk to me about Furbys!

Hi

Basically dds aged 8&6 have asked for a furby! Its not something they absolutely want but they've mentioned them a few times. It wouldn't come from us as we have bought them other stuff...get from the grandparents.

Are they good? Do they amuse kids for long? Are they worth the cost?

We are lucky that we have lots of family who buy the kids too so often end up having to think of things for people to buy and often end up picking anything in the end. Don't want it to be a total waste though.

They are not massively into their technology, we have iPads and I touches etc but they are more into dolls and craft so don't want to get it if its going to get them on the iPad for long periods etc as I'm glad they're not interested in them yet.

Does anyone have one and recommend? Do you have to use iPad etc with them? Are they enough to entertain them on their own? Are they easy to use with iPads etc!?

Thanks!

Mine have both got furbys this year. I bought them for £33 each off Amazon.

Two furbys will talk to each other and react off each other so yes worth it!

£33!!! Are they the new boom ones? Or does it not matter? I can't get cheaper than £50?
