Thanks Bea I have a nasty feeling these dolls were much more expensive sort of like the Corralle dolls..

Do you mean these dolls: www.agirlforalltime.com? Look lovely but seriously expensive! DD has an American Girl doll who comes with stories but they are even more expensive to buy in the UK sadly.

YES

Thanks Behind!!!! The books look quite spooky, yes hideously expensive! I love the idea of them though, I would have been in heaven had I received one of these....my first DD isnt even interested in dolls!

Maybe the second one will be when she is older.

Is Matilda a Tudor name Confused

closingeveryhour · 15/10/2013 12:46

William the Conqueror's wife was called Matilda, so whether or not it was popular in Tudor times it certainly existed then!

ScarerAndFuck · 15/10/2013 17:37

Matilda de Braose was a noblewoman in the 1100's, starved to death by one of the Plantagenets I think, so name in use before Tudor times.

I like those dolls, but I doubt DS would appreciate one. I quite like the look of Clementine.
