Dolls house for 3yo?

I'm thinking of getting 3yo dd a dollhouse for Christmas. I've been looking at a Le Toy Van one or the elc one, which in convinced are made by the same company. However I'm worried she's maybe too young to fully appreciate it (in the sense of enjoying it).

Should I stick with happyland for another year? Is there another suitable "big" present I'm overlooking?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Dd had one for her second birthday and loves it. It is plastic rather than wooden and fits the happy land people in it. Not sure of the brand because my mum bought it. Its very much a first dolls house for little hands x

Thanks for your reply. I should say she already has a plastic fisher price house which she enjoys playing with. I was thinking of a proper wooden dollhouse for this year.

my daughter will be 3.6 at xmas and has asked for a wooden dolls house so that her happyland people and fisher price princess can move in :)
I have brought her the wooden Bigjigs Rose Cottage. A lovely house comes with starter furniture which is of chunky nature and when she is bigger i can re furnish with le toy van furniture which is very small.

I'd say 3 is an ideal age.

My DD is not yet 2 but her and her brother enjoy playing with theirs.

Dd will be 3.3 at Christmas and I've bought one second hand for her.

My DS had THIS ONE for his 2nd birthday. He loves it, plays with it every day. It's plenty big enough for all his various plastic toy people. Goofy, Upsy Daisy, Crocker and Mr Smee are currently sitting down to dinner.

It's dead cheap too.

Does anyone have the John Lewis one? I'm strongly considering it?

This is the one my daughters are getting from the gp

Not sure how to link.

Possibly not much help now but maybe for next year is this - as I knew we were going to get it we got it from amazon at the beginning for sept for £80 ( and its lovely) its now on for about £130 reduced from £220. Doing you were thinking about next year you could get one in the summer for a lot less and just store it....

Great help. Thanks! 3 seems to be the ideal age from what you are saying. Now to wait for another elc 20% off sale.
