best tablet for 4 year old

needs to be robust
not an iPad
android compatible so I can download free games from play

completely parental safe and set up so they can't buy stuff
good battery life or can play while plugged in

I'm watching with interest for 5yo.

Recently heard tesco bringing a good one out. Hudl or hubl, something like that. I hear I hear kindle fires are good, get books too.

I'd go with a leap pad in all honesty, it's been brilliant and no chance of an in app purchase
