Trying to think of presents for my nearly 6yo and 3yo DDs. They don't really need anything, and DD1 has asked for 'a surprise' Hmm

I thought this looks quite fun, they love anything with water in and it's reduced on Amazon at the moment. Any thoughts?

My DD got it last christmas and loves it
She is 7. I think playmobil has a good life and kids continue to play with it
Be ready for some wet floors

It falls apart every five minutes. Like most playmobil.

Timeforabiscuit · 12/10/2013 18:55

I was eyeing up a camper van for the same reason, but it's the teeny tiny pieces which are like a siren call to my youngest who would lodge it in some orifice.

DD is 8 and got it a couple of years ago. She and a friend had a good time with it after school earlier this week. Is a good toy I think :)

Have just asked DD who says "you can put water in, the shower works and they all have shoes (although you lose the shoes)".

We have it and quite like it but leave it permanently on a tray that can be carried about. Otherwise yes it drops to pieces. We stand it in on a towel to avoid the water going everywhere.

DD got it for Xmas last year, she was 3.5, that plus the camper van have been the most played with thing all year. The playmobil people go in the van to the pool Smile

We haven't found that it falls apart, we don't fill it with water though, she's not realised that you can and at the moment I've no intention of bringing it to her attention! (mean mummy)

Ds has it and loves it. It doesn't fall apart too much and has lots of play value. We put a folded up towel under it to catch splashes.

kelda · 12/10/2013 19:11

My children really like it. It not a toy that can be played with roughly.

cherrytomato40 · 12/10/2013 20:07

Hmmm sounds like it might be a goer then! Trying to find something they could play with together so this might just do the trick!

my dc (same age as yours) really love it.
we use a cheap plastic table cloth to protect the floor when they play with it with water.

mousmous · 12/10/2013 20:16

oh, and the teeny tiny pieces live on a shelf high up. or the dc would fill the space under the floor boards with miniature flip flops and such.

kelda · 12/10/2013 20:33

I take off the tiny pieces and let my children play with it in the bath. Or in the garden in the summer.

PatTheHammer · 12/10/2013 20:39

Mine are 7 and 4 and Playmobil addicts and they love it. If we fill it we do it inside the empty bath, it works well as we got it last xmas and its still working fine.
