It's a basic computer. Think a motherboard and not a lot else, which is why I'm getting the starter kit for him.

What about a camera? A normal digital one or a pocket camcorder? I've bought a pocket camcorder for my DS3's upcoming birthday and I had a play with it and it's fabby. Lots of waterproof/shockproof ones available for the more rough and tumble types.

DS really wants an X-Box.

Ds1 has asked for a scalextrix and Lego at the moment. It is his birthday a month before Christmas and he has got a Rubix cube and a game for his ds so far.

Ds turns 9 shortly after Xmas and he wants golf lessons, a new scooter and minecraft stuff.

Ds is turning 7 at Xmas but youngest in year so a lot of his friends are almost 8 and seem to be into similar things....
